Effective date: 3 August 2026. These terms are a binding agreement between you and Tripomonk Travel Private Limited (“Tripomonk”, “we”, “us”). By booking a trek, tour or activity, or by using this app, you accept these terms.

1. Bookings & payments

• A booking is confirmed only after we receive the required advance (25% of the trip price unless stated otherwise) and you receive a confirmation.
• The balance is due before departure as shown on your booking, ticket or invoice.
• Prices are per person in INR and may change until a booking is confirmed. Offers apply only within their stated validity and conditions.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI PIN, bank or wallet credentials.

2. Cancellations & refunds

• More than 30 days before departure — full refund, less payment-gateway charges.
• 15–29 days before — 75% refund.
• 7–14 days before — 50% refund.
• Less than 7 days before, or no-show — no refund.
• If Tripomonk cancels for weather or safety reasons, you get a full refund or a free date change.
• Refunds are made to the original payment method within 7–10 working days.

3. Safety & risk

Trekking and adventure activities in the Himalaya carry inherent risks — altitude, weather, terrain and remoteness. You take part voluntarily and accept these risks. Our trek leaders may change the route, turn a group back, or cancel any activity when safety requires it; their decision is final.

4. Health & fitness

You confirm you are medically fit for the trek you book and will disclose any condition, allergy or medication that could affect your safety. We may ask for a fitness declaration or medical certificate and may decline participation on safety grounds.

5. Your responsibilities

• Carry valid government ID and any required permits (we assist with forest / eco-zone permits as a service).
• Follow your trek leader’s instructions and the local laws, culture and environment. Leave no trace.
• Arrive at the pickup point on time; we are not responsible for missed departures due to your late arrival or your own travel to the base city.

6. Changes by us

Itineraries are indicative. Weather, permits, road conditions or group safety may require changes to the route, campsites, inclusions or dates. We will always aim to give you the closest possible experience.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Tripomonk is not liable for loss, injury, delay or expense arising from events beyond our reasonable control, or from your failure to follow instructions. We strongly recommend personal travel and medical insurance.

8. Community content

You are responsible for what you post in the app. Don’t post unlawful, offensive or infringing content. We may remove content or accounts that breach these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Uttarakhand having jurisdiction.

Effective date: 24 June 2026. This policy explains how Tripomonk Travel Private Limited collects, uses and protects personal data in line with applicable Indian laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: name, email, mobile number and profile photo if you add one.
• Booking details: trek, date, traveller names, phone number, email, emergency contact and booking status.
• Payment details: payment ID, amount and payment status from Razorpay. We do not store card, UPI PIN, bank or wallet details.
• Community content: photos, videos, captions, comments, likes, follows and messages you choose to post or send.
• App data: device, login, notification and usage information needed to run and improve the app.

2. Why we use it

• To create your account and keep it secure.
• To process bookings, payments, e-tickets and trip communication.
• To support trek operations, safety coordination and emergency contact needs.
• To show community posts, notifications, alerts and app features.
• To improve our services and comply with legal requirements.

3. Sharing

We share data only where needed: with trek operations teams, guides, payment providers such as Razorpay, app infrastructure providers such as Supabase, email/notification providers, support partners, or government/legal authorities when required. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Security and retention

We use secure systems, access controls and trusted service providers. Booking and payment records are kept for business, tax, safety and legal reasons. Community content stays until you delete it or your account is removed, unless we must retain it for legal or safety reasons.

5. Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, deletion or withdrawal of consent for your personal data. Some booking records may still be retained where law, safety or accounting rules require it.

6. Children

The app is meant for adults. Minors may travel only through a guardian or lead traveller booking, with required consent and supervision.
